Lady warmed up for dressage a little bit sluggish to say the least, but after a few pony club kicks she was soon taking me forward and down the centre line extremely straight for a baby! Her test felt incredible and I could feel how much she has grown up in a year. We were all delighted to hear over the tannoy that she had scored a 30.5.
The show jumping was nice, a little twisty but nothing she couldn't tackle. It would of been a much nicer round if the heavens hadn't opened for our round with hail stones going in my eyes and her ears . Luckily it didn't put her off and she came out with a clear round.
Still on our dressage score we warmed up for cross country. The wait was a little longer then expected and Lady was definitely getting fed up! The course looked nice to me (probably because I have just got used to seeing huge Novice fences!) so I rode the course extremely positive. Lady was babyish in places but her boldness came through securing another clear XC and inside the time for a well deserved 6th place.
The winning score was only 1.5 penalties different from mine so you can see how close it was.
Lady now has a few weeks off from BE due to me focusing on work and Candy with Chatsworth just around the corner.
