Huge thanks have to go out to my mum and Rich Neale for keeping my horses ticking over while I have been away.
This is where the hard work really starts! Nothing like gently breaking yourself back into it... soon as I got back 2 dressage lessons were booked in with Steph Cooper and boy did I feel the effects of what horse riding does to your body the minute I jumped out of the saddle. You really don't realise how fit you are in the peak of the season,
The next morning I whimpered to myself and hobbled about like an idiot but jumped straight back on the next day where everything started to loosen up and feel good again.
I haven't been hanging around entering both Candy and Lady into events. They have their first BE event next weekend at Oasby hopefully a nice confidence giving run at BE100 level for Candy and BE90 for Lady. The plan then is to get in as much training as I can before Chatsworth in May. I have already spent a few of my vouchers kindly supplied by EHOA that I won through the training awards. £300 will certainly see a huge improvement in myself and both my horses. I have 2 jumping lessons tomorrow with Sarah Healy, then a Jump Training at Forest Gate booked in. Stafford will be my second event with Candy stepping up to BE100 plus before hopefully entering a novice at Llanymynech. I have a training session booked in with Jeanette Brakwell at Kelsall Hill with Candy plus I am hoping to head down to my friend Holly's for a few days Show jumping.
These pictures were took in my dressage lesson with Steph Cooper. Good Luck to everyone out competing these next few weeks, I hope you aren't aching as much as I am!!!
