That moment I crossed the cross country flags on course knowing I was clear felt incredible. Had I managed to get everything right on the day for once?
6.30am start wasn't bad compared to the times we have had recently! I say start but we were actually on route from ours at 6.30! Dressage warm up went to plan today, no strops and no arguments= a very happy Becci! The test felt much more confident and the mediums are becoming more established, the rest just fell into place.
I watched a few show jump and half an hour past far too quickly, it was already my turn to jump. Lots of 4 faults and only 10 clears in my section I tackled the course. Compared to the 1* course I did 2 weeks ago it actually felt quite enjoyable and we came out with a pleasing clear round.
It just shows hard work, determination and sticking at it will get you where you want to be in the end. Its always been my dream to win one and now I have, new aims and ambitions start to come in. Watch this space!
Huge thanks to Nick Gill for suppling the fantastic images
