Last Friday we went to the beautiful Knowsely Hall to do the shoot. It was a very early start, but a very enjoyable day. I arrived and watched the other 2 models shooting the casual shots which was great to see whilst waiting for my time!
It was a very professional set up, not just a point and shoot to capture the images. There was a lot of equipment and special lighting used which took over half an hour to set up to get the right angles using the light.
I was up next for my hair and make up to be done. For the first shot which would be a smart competition one riding Annie. The make up artist went for a sharp clean look with my hair in a very fancy low inside out bun. Annie was such a star she stood still when we asked her and when we needed her to move she did exactly that before standing still again! They were all impressed and she always had her ears pricked looking at the camera! I got some good feedback from the team so I can't of been too bad either ;)
A quick change into my casual outfit, I had my hair changed into a loose natural wave and my make up very subtle and natural too. This shot was to capture the bond between Annie & I, and I really enjoyed shooting this. Annie always likes cuddles so she was the perfect model yet again!
Lastly we shot a few different backgrounds in an open field and using a natural fence line. It was a great day and I really enjoyed working with the team at Ride-away who were all extremely friendly and very happy with how the shoot had gone. I am so excited to see which images they select and which one will go on the front cover! So watch out for the next catalogue. There is some stunning clothing coming out especially from the Pikeur range which I was lucky enough to shoot! I wanted to take it all home! It was great to chat to the marketing team and the director of Ride-Away putting ideas forward and how we could work together in the future so watch this space!!
If they run a competition again I would definitely encourage others to enter. Its something I will look back on and would love to be a part of again. I could get used to the model lifestyle...!
